"The Big Three" Components to Landing a Job in this 21st Century Recession

Another school year will be ending soon and still, on any given day you can watch MSNBC or read The New York Times and there is a likelihood that you will see discouraging national headlines about the job market. The situation has become so dire to where President Obama delivered a primetime speech to introduce his "American Jobs Act."

During this presidential address he emphasized the importance of internships and preparing students for real-world competition. He also added that "all of us will have to step our game up and change the way we do business."

Many college students aren't in the position to "step their game up" because they still maintain a 20th century mindset. They believe a job of their choice will be automatically acquired simply because they hold an academic degree. However, this entitlement attitude in this 21st century recession is detrimental to effectively landing a good job in such dismal times.

As you know, too many students wait until their senior year and even after graduation to consider this very important question, "What am I going to do with my degree?" Allow me to introduce to you (or perhaps remind you) of a famous quote by Mahatma Gandhi--- "The future depends on what we do in the present."

In today's relentless economy, there needs to be an immediate fundamental psychological shift---college students must begin to think differently---not as a senior, but as a freshman!

In addition to focusing on academic success and believing that a college degree is the golden ticket to success, students need to utilize the natural multi-tasking skills they've acquired as a result of growing up in a rapid technology based culture. Students need to simultaneously do what I refer to as "The Big Three:" 1) Get a college degree, 2) Demonstrate through real-world experience that you have the ability to add value by being innovative and multi-talented, AND 3) Develop themselves as a professional during their college and/or academic tenure.  While their peers are focused on only being a traditional college student---simply getting the necessary degree---they must shift their focus to "The Big Three!"

Sounds demanding doesn't it? That's because the job market is stifling and demanding!

But fortunately for students that hear my message, they learn how to increase their chances of having a full-time job waiting on them upon graduating.

I designed an inspirational and instructive framework that teaches students how to think and make power moves like a C.E.O.  Within the last year, I've empowered over 10,000 students and professionals with this strategic model. Many of these people have emailed and messaged me on Facebook to exclaim how their lives and thought processes have changed since they've learned how to become the Creator of Excellent Opportunities.

As a college administrator, high school teacher, business owner, or parent you play a very pivotal role in preparing the students under your tutelage for success in the real world.

As a member of three national speakers bureaus, founder of a 501(c) 3 organization, and 28 year-old author, I'm a reliable resource to you and excited about helping you with your goals to empower young people. I've made many media appearances, delivered tons of keynote addresses, and conducted numerous workshops at prestigious national conferences and universities across the country. On one of my recent flights I watched the movie "The Pursuit of Happyness”. I discovered that “The Pursuit of Happyness” by its very nature has an internship theme.  As the central actor, Will Smith, said, “If you have a dream, you have to protect it.”

Albeit, I'm not quite Will Smith I have indeed had some Hollywood-like experiences while interning with the FBI, NASA and for our U.S Congress on Capitol Hill! Equipped with these experiences and my doctoral degree, I'm ready to motivate and empower your students to protect their dream in this tough job market.

Spread the message about “The Big Three Components to Successfully Landing a Job in the this 21st Century Recession” to your students and colleagues. To inquire about how I can personally make a fun, energetic, and interactive appearance on your campus, please call 216-220-7252 or you can send an email toassistant@antoinemoss.com. My team would be glad to assist you with any questions, comments, or concerns.
